This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you stay in control of your data.

Who we are
TrialBridge is an information platform that helps patients discover clinical trials and helps research sponsors reach interested participants. We are not a healthcare provider and we do not give medical advice.

What we collect
We only collect what is needed to match you with studies and to run the service:
- Account data: email address, name, account type (patient, sponsor, clinician).
- Matching data you choose to provide: conditions of interest, age, country and city, and whether you are a healthy volunteer.
- Application data: the answers you submit when applying to a specific trial.
- Technical data: essential cookies for sign-in and security, plus basic usage analytics.
Health-related data and consent
Information about a condition you are interested in is special-category data under GDPR Article 9. We process it only on the basis of your explicit consent, given when you save matching preferences or submit an application.
We share your application details with the research site or sponsor of that specific trial only, and only after you tick the consent box in the application form. We never sell personal data and never share it for advertising.
Legal bases
- Explicit consent — matching preferences, trial applications, trial alert emails.
- Contract — providing your account and dashboard.
- Legitimate interests — service security, fraud prevention, aggregate product analytics.
Retention
Account and application records are kept while your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your profile, preferences and alerts. Records a sponsor needs to keep for regulatory purposes remain with that sponsor under their own policy.
Your rights
You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent stops future matching and alerts. You may also complain to your local supervisory authority; ours is the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (HDPA).
Processors
We use service providers for hosting and database, authentication, transactional email and payment processing for sponsor billing. Each processes data under contract and only on our instructions. A current list is available on request.
